Simon Shattock is Principal Lecturer at IFT. He has over 14 years’ experience working in social care and mental health settings with both children and adults and worked for many years in the NHS in Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Simon has undertaken research and he is a visiting lecturer on a number of different mental health courses at City University and the Highgate Counselling Centre.
Following a BA degree in Social Work in 2001 Simon obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Child Focused Practice at the Institute of Family Therapy, London. He also obtained a Post graduate Diploma in Applied Systemic Theory, Tavistock Centre, London In 2009 he gained a Masters in Systemic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre, London. He currently also works as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist (CAMHS), at the Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
